Jennifer Aniston has finally addressed the long-standing rumors about an alleged affair with former U.S. President Barack Obama.
Speculation surrounding a potential romantic connection between the Friends star and Obama began circulating alongside rumors about the state of Obama’s marriage to Michelle Obama. The buzz intensified after Michelle was noticeably absent from both Jimmy Carter’s funeral and Donald Trump’s inauguration, with Barack attending solo. As these discussions about their relationship reignited, Aniston’s recent interview has drawn significant attention.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Kimmel handed Aniston a gossip magazine that referenced the alleged affair. While addressing the rumors, the actress also shared a personal story from her childhood.
She opened up about being pressured to belly dance at family gatherings, a tradition linked to her Greek heritage. Aniston described these experiences as a source of “anxiety” and “inner trauma,” revealing how her Greek aunts, uncles, and grandmothers would encourage her to perform.
When it came to the Obama rumors, Aniston humorously shook her head and expressed frustration at the baseless tabloid stories.
She said, “Of all the calls you get from your publicist where you’re just like, ‘Oh no, what’s it gonna be?’ or you get an email saying some cheesy tabloid is going to make up a story – and then it’s that…” Despite the absurdity of the rumor, she added, “I was not mad at it,” but emphasized that it was “absolutely untrue.”
Aniston went on to clarify her relationship with the Obamas, stating, “I’ve met [Barack] once. I know Michelle more than him.” When Kimmel jokingly asked if there was any truth to her connection with Michelle, she replied with a smile, “That is not true.”
Aniston, who is currently not dating anyone, also pointed out that she has not been romantically linked to anyone in the past five years. Meanwhile, the Obamas have been married for 33 years and share two grown daughters.
Earlier this year, Barack Obama shared a heartfelt tribute to Michelle on her birthday amidst swirling divorce rumors. He posted a photo of the couple holding hands during a dinner, captioning it, “Happy birthday to the love of my life, @MichelleObama. You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace – and you look good doing it. I’m so lucky to be able to take on life’s adventures with you. Love you.” Michelle reposted the message with a sweet response: “Love you, honey!”
